About
My journey into Pilates began after back surgery at the age of 29.
I struggled to stand or walk without fainting, and even driving was painful. Despite being active all my life, especially playing hockey from the age of five, my body felt unexpectedly weak.
Surrounded by people recovering from hip and knee operations, I found myself wondering whether some injuries and operations could be avoided with the right kind of movement.
The recovery process was overwhelming. I did not know which therapies were safe, and I often felt lost and confused.
Retiring from hockey broke my heart, but it also led me into a period of self‑discovery and rehabilitation.
During this time, I realised that movement is essential — but the right type of movement is what truly supports recovery and prevents future injuries.
I found an incredible Pilates teacher who helped me understand my body, build confidence, and move without fear.
When she moved to Australia, I struggled to find anyone who taught with the same clarity and care, so I decided to follow in her footsteps and train in the same Pilates qualifications.
I have worked in the health, wellness, and fitness industry since I was 17, and I have always been fascinated by how the body moves.
My back injury became a turning point, a reminder that understanding your body is empowering, and that no one should feel alone when dealing with pain, stiffness, or injury.
Today, I teach small-group Pilates classes in Hethersett, as well as online Pilates classes and 1:1 Pilates.
My focus is on safe, supportive, confidence‑building movement for real people, beginners, people recovering from injury, and anyone wanting to feel stronger and more balanced.
I continue to develop my knowledge, so I can offer the best possible care. I do what I do because I never want anyone to feel lost, confused, or unsupported in their body.
When I am not teaching, I am usually out in nature. I spend a lot of time walking with my dog or enjoying quiet moments with my horse. Those moments outdoors remind me of the importance of calm, connection, and presence.
It is also a growing passion that I will be weaving more into my work in the future.
